It starts with a conversation, an idea, a theme, and then we discuss and narrow down the concept to compose a unique narrative, to convey the right atmosphere, colours and angle for the project.
From there, I emphasize and balance the core elements to bring strength and character to the artwork, carefully selecting the appropriate colour palette and mediums in keeping with the original inspiration. I typically use a combination of acrylics, charcoal, pastels and collaged paper forms.
The project progresses as the artwork is adapted for various creative contexts and materials. The drawings are subtly reinterpreted and formatted to suit the given canvas, always presenting a uniquely bold and elegant composition.
